After various culinary experiences in different countries, tempura chef Aoki Tomonori officially joined The Okura Prestige Taipei's Yamazato Japanese Cuisine, to show his superb talents as the new tempura chef.

 

Chef Aoki was born in Hokkaido, Japan. He begin his culinary journey at the age of 18 and worked in various countries such as Tokyo, Hokkaido, Shenzhen, China, and Singapore. He has accumulated 20 years of culinary experience. Chef Aoki is deeply cultivating the field of tempura; he said, "I want to make dishes that everyone can eat." Unlike many dishes with the limitation of using only meat and vegetables, the charm of tempura lies in purely guiding the original taste by using all the ingredients with no limit. The essence of the ingredients is sealed through a thin coat of flour, leading to a tasting experience with a transcendent taste. This is also the biggest factor for Chef Aoki's culinary purpose. 

 

The appointment of a new chef can always bring a new look to the restaurant. In addition to bringing the rich products of his hometown Hokkaido to all the guests, he also looks forward to using Taiwan's rich local ingredients such as horsehead fish and mullet roe to create exclusive Japanese dishes through the skillful hands of Chef Aoki, presenting the unique tempura experience for the guests.
